A cousin of my mother's had schizophrenia due to PTSD and drug testing when he was in the military in I think the late 70's. He's no longer with us, and I rarely saw him because of his entirely preventable mental illness, but I think of him a lot when I see the things people justify saying online.

I still remember my favorite childhood friends' home numbers along with my parents' original number before they got rid of their landline.

I've been trying to be better about memorizing important numbers more recently because you just never know what's going to happen.

I develop adult video games on Steam. I can't find a bank that will actually let me withdraw my money from Steam. Can I get some advice?
Game has sold quite well on Steam. I've got almost £90,000 ready to withdraw after Steam's cut + VAT taken off.

However, it's been 2 months now and I can't find ANY bank in the UK who will let me withdraw my money from Steam.

I've been banned/refused/unable to get a business account with:

Wise
Revolut
Monzo
Monese
Chase
Starling
Nationwide
Halifax
Barclays
Lloyds
RBS

It always comes down to, "Where did you get this money from?"

"It's coming from games I sell on Steam."

"Can we see the store page?"

"Sure."

"I'm sorry, we can't do business with you at this time."

It keeps coming down to a commercial decision purely because I make adult content.

What the hell am I supposed to do? I've pretty much exhausted the whole banking system. I just want to be able to be paid for products I've sold.

I think there's positives and negatives to both directions. I'm glad I didn't know because then that guilt wasn't there for me, but then, they didn't teach me finances so I've struggled most of my adult life going back and forth from credit card debt. I've gotten better but I had to learn on my own

My parents did a good job making it fun, I didn't realize we were basically broke until I was older and started buying my own food and having my own bills. They kept me pretty well sheltered from their money problems, which I respect. My mother was into tech so we had computers earlier than most

I was able to play some of them on PS1 because a friend had one, luckily! I was really into the anime when I was a teenager though, S1 and S2 of digimon were my defining shows of my high school years. Pokemon was a defining show/game/tcg in middle school. Both I'm very nostalgic for 🥰

I always preferred Digimon personally, though, especially because the games are all so wildly different from one another. Pokemon games always felt so samey and I got bored after a while until more recently when I got back into the new ones. But I loved the anime and collected the tcg when i could
