Maybe it seems silly to mourn a tree, but I got a bit weepy once the storm died down today. The spruce that fell is the one on the right. I once saw it in a photo from 1920 & the tree was fully grown then. I thanked its spirit and acknowledged its "sibling" for the loss. Such is life. All is well 💚

Bad wind storm still blowing here. Took out our 100 + year blue spruce. Other neighborhood trees coming down. Emergency services all over town. I woke up to this. It’s going to be a long day.

It’s a quiet night and I can hear the courtship calls of a pair of Great Horned Owls 🦉 I never grow tired of that sound.

It happened again tonight, around 11:30. Someone banging on the door. This time was so hard I thought they were going to break in. Husband was asleep upstairs but it woke him up. Called cops this time but of course the little f*ckers are long gone. I don't know if I'll be sleeping tonight.

Blueberry cornbread just out of the oven!
As part of the new kidney friendly diet I attempted to make a blueberry/almond milk smoothie. The blueberries were frozen so it ended up more like a semi-melted popsicle. 😒 Next time I’ll use fresh berries.

Wow, I just read today's forecast of 56 degrees for a high today, and mid-50s through the upcoming weekend. There are flood watches near parts of the river 💧 This feels more like early spring 🍃 Maybe that's why crows have been sticking around. They're usually gone by the end of October.

So tired this evening but the day was productive. Doctor appointment went better than I expected. There had been a misunderstanding on my part. But anyway, feeling better about the health news. Now I’m sitting here listening to the soothing sound of pouring rain. Time for some reading.

Two years ago our precious Molly left us after 13 years of earthly life. She was pure sweetness, pure love and gave that energy freely to everyone. Happiest in the forest she went on hundreds of hikes in her life. The longest was 15 miles. I miss her smiles, & constant joy. I love you angel girl ❤️

Since yesterday I’ve been so upset. Not showing it, but so internalized. I’m an energy worker yet can’t help myself right now. Just keep thinking of what I want to say to my physician when I see her Friday. I don’t want to feel angry, but I do. Sorry this is vague.

Second time this week there’s been a nighttime knock on the door. When I open it no one’s there. The first time I thought it was someone mistaking our house for the neighbor’s. Now it seems we have a prankster 😒

After wrestling it into place bit by bit while rolling up the area rug underneath it, dust mopping the wood floor, replacing the evil area rug that tripped me many times, all while swearing frequently, it's done.

Last night I dreamt I and some other people were planting climbing plants of some kind along my carport. I dug up a set of keys, not mine, with Tesla key ring & threw it up on the roof. In the distance we saw what looked like clouds and someone said bomb testing was going on.
