We got slammed by high winds a couple days ago, so I feel for you. This atmospheric river is brutal. I've been through Leavenworth a few times; it's such a pretty town.

I can understand your not wanting to put her through the x-ray. I experienced something similar with our older dog. It's that balance between being helpful or harmful, such as high stress and the other reason you gave. It's very tough, I know.

It’s been mostly 50s and occasional heavy rain here all month, when normally it would be, well, winter.

That’s good that you have power. I hope it stays on. We’re having an emergency situation in town with trees down all over and power off in some areas. One of our huge spruce trees is down. Thankfully it didn’t hit the house.

I had something similar happen recently, but it was the front door that blew shut and l was wearing socks. That wind has it out for us!
