Maybe it seems silly to mourn a tree, but I got a bit weepy once the storm died down today. The spruce that fell is the one on the right. I once saw it in a photo from 1920 & the tree was fully grown then. I thanked its spirit and acknowledged its "sibling" for the loss. Such is life. All is well 💚

Bad wind storm still blowing here. Took out our 100 + year blue spruce. Other neighborhood trees coming down. Emergency services all over town. I woke up to this. It’s going to be a long day.

Two years ago our precious Molly left us after 13 years of earthly life. She was pure sweetness, pure love and gave that energy freely to everyone. Happiest in the forest she went on hundreds of hikes in her life. The longest was 15 miles. I miss her smiles, & constant joy. I love you angel girl ❤️

If I walk west of town there’s a clear view of the mountains.This day clouds were covering the peaks, but then they parted for a few minutes 🌥️

Today my husband , oldest son & I took a drive to the Amish Country Store in Idaho. It’s a long round trip but so worth it. And they had pumpkin whoopie pies I was hoping for! Stopped at Sacajawea park on the way back.
