Frank Zappa & the Mothers of Invention - Cheaper Than Cheep ('25)
Smart of them to roll out the individual videos prior to the soundtrack, cause this version of Inca Roads is what made me want to get fully into Zappa. Fantastic concert start to finish, one of the best.

Flower Travellin' Band - Satori ('71)
Starting the year like I normally do with the album my uncle gets me for Christmas. Thought I had heard this before, but I had only heard Satori I. Glad I finally listened to the full album, it's something special. Gonna check out more.

Kate Bush - Hounds of Love ('85)
What all pop albums should strive to be. A completely masterful sounding album from start to finish that just so happens to have a few songs that break containment and find themselves part of the cultural zeitgeist. Under Ice is so damn good.

Angine De Poitrine - Vol. 1 ('24)
Was enjoying the first 3/4's, but wasn't blown away. The last two songs go off the deep end in the best way, and I'm really looking forward to Vol. 2 later this year to see if they continue towards that sound.

Mahavishnu Orchestra - Between Nothingness & Eternity ('73)
Fantastic live album, the guitar solos in the second track were awesome. The final track clocked in around 20min and not a single second felt forced or unnecessary.

Mahavishnu Orchestra - Birds of Fire ('73)
Plays it a bit safer than the debut, but has a lot of great songs and movements. One Word and Resolution are both all timers.

The Mahavishnu Orchestra with John McLaughlin - The Inner Mounting Flame ('71)
This album feels out of time, some of the things they do on this are just really out there in a great way. Something about it sounds so much larger than a quintet of musicians working together.

King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard - Live in Copenhagen '25 ('25)
One of the better Extinction yet, another great table version of slow Jam 1. Only have one more synth show & while I'm excited for the rock shows and have been getting tired of the synth shows, I will miss them

Coil - Live in Moscow ('15)
Great performances, the live ambiance of both TG and Coil are second to none. Extremely dark and heavy in the air.

Miles Davis - In A Silent Way ('69)
I think this finally is going to make me dive deeper in traditional jazz. While this is still fusion to an extent, it def feels like the bridge that crossed the genre from jazz to jazz fusion. Excited to keep digging. Truly insane album.

Return to Forever - Romantic Warrior ('76)
Bounced off this a few times in the past, but something called it to me today. Might be the fact I just drove 5ish hours in silence, I wanted something that breathes a bit. The bass on the title track is all I can think about rn

King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard - Live in Vienna '25 ('25)
Another good synth show, excited to get back to the rock shows once the Aust boots officially drop, but still have a few more of the Euro tour to go. I really love all the posters Amy Jean has done this go around.

Osibisa - Heads ('72)
Another really solid entry from them, doesn't have the same feel as the first two albums, but it's great in its own right. Sad that they only had these three albums with the original lineup, will be interesting to see where they go from here.

Osibisa - Osibisa ('71)
It's really interesting to see how they harnesses the energy & direction prog/psych rock was going in the late 60s early 70s while putting their own unique twist on it. It's so familiar while being so unique, I've had it on repeat since yesterday.

Osibisa - Woyaya ('71)
Grabbed this for my uncle for Christmas sight unseen because of the Roger Dean album art. Gave it a listen when I got home and it's wonderful. Haven't heard much afro rock from this era. I think theyve definitely piqued my interest to check out others.

Throbbing Gristle - Live at the Valksbühne, Berlin, New Year's Eve, 2005 ('25)
I can't even imagine what seeing TG live would be like. Great show, I've really liked all of their live releases so far.

Psychic TV - Themes ('82)
Limited release EP that was sent out with the first 1k copies of their debut album. Very dark unsettling ambient music, can see myself playing this a lot on days where I have a lot of coding to do.

Psychic TV - Force the Hand of Chance ('82)
Incredibly moving album, so different from both Throbbing Gristle and Coul, but it's almost like this strange beautiful combination of the two.

Suicide - Suicide ('77)
Wasn't a huge fan of this personally, but I can easily see why it's so influential. A few songs I really enjoyed, Rocket U.S.A. was probably the most interesting.

Sonic Youth - Bad Moon Rising ('85)
Wasn't expecting to like this as much as I did considering I've never been a big fan of the singles from them I've heard. It might just be because of the jack-o'-lantern on the cover, but the sound evokes in me how Halloween feels.
