Having experienced both, the 1JZ is definitely the winner for sound. Somehow that 0.5l less displacement, Yamaha-designed cylinder head and 7K rpm redline conspire to help it sound really, really good.

I probably know a lot of what's in the travel guide, given that I used to live there, but 1) I used to listen to Rick Steves' travel podcast religiously 15-odd years ago, and 2) it includes these hand-drawn maps that are charming as hell. 🤩

That FC TII is nice (the S5 really cleaned up the FC's look), but I'd prefer the factory wheels. Those are ASA AR1s, which look nice enough but are kind of cheap. 😕

They look like at least 18s.

Shadowline is BMW's term for blacked-out trim that would otherwise be chrome/polished aluminum. Traditionally the kidneys were still kept polished, as they should be, but lately, all taste has abandoned BMW and they've blacked out the kidneys too. 👎
