Running a tiny hardware shop in this day and age is always going to be a tale of ups and downs - but today...

Odd parade of dreams last night - was somewhere (?) in Norfolk, and then elsewhere in a pub with an old mate talking about beer.
Oddest of all - dreamt I was approaching a rural farm (green/yellow crop, sunny, think it was Britain) with an apple held out in my hand, because 'that's how it is done'

Leaned toward Clark Ashton Smith for inspiration in my Gaslight game - previously, a sorcerous threat from old Averoigne, this week, an ancient gate to the displaced survivors of the fall of Hyperborea.
It works because it’s *vaguely* familiar to my players, but a less well-trod path than usual 👍

Most of last week, I found myself unpleasantly down in the dumps, good and proper.
What started to snap me out of it?
Coming home from work on Saturday, hearing my teenager absolutely laughing his head off whilst on the Xbox with his friends. It was just so good natured.
Couldn't ignore it.

We had a new telly late last year, the kind that might throw up random screens whilst in screensaver. We've just spent a good 5 minutes christening each oddball arty screensaver pic with daft names - then the telly switched itself off.
