Here's my PDF of the Trump allegations and associations timeline with linked citations.

Many outlets have listed all of these in long, scrolling pages. I have yet to see one put their design staff to the task of making a single encompassing graphic. Publishers, consider it!

Reddit mods banned a comment of mine saying that openai, a company whose product has encouraged children to kill themselves, should be burned to the ground 🤷‍♂️ always specify “metaphorically” I guess

Kyle Kingsbury is not a journalist. He is not an op-ed writer.

He is a computer safety researcher.

And he has written one of the most compelling, comprehensive accounts of the ongoing hell in Chicago that you could possibly imagine.

In under 1600 words.

Chatbots — LLMs — do not know facts and are not designed to be able to accurately answer factual questions. They are designed to find and mimic patterns of words, probabilistically. When they’re “right” it’s because correct things are often written down, so those patterns are frequent. That’s all.

while 'young republicans are literal nazis' is well known to folks here, the extent of it is surprisingly not that commonly known even in media and analyst circles, let alone normal people.
a real water is wet scenario here

This is a REALLY good video that gets into the *specifics* of how AI is degrading our information environment and putting truth further out of reach for the average person / the population as a whole
I walked into the lounge last night to find my teenage son watching this. We have long admired @kurzgesagt.org and found their videos to be extremely illuminating. But this one in particular I think is so important right now!

Altman seems to be "surprised" by all of the exact most obvious parts of the public reaction to Sora, right down to the mundane stuff like "people will mostly want to share videos in groupchats"
OpenAI wasn’t expecting Sora’s copyright drama
It felt “more different to images than people expected.”
