The performances are all that matters. He can say he has better hair than Brad Pitt for all I care.
Is Arne Slot’s blunt honesty alienating Liverpool fans?

Makes sense that my goalscorers were Haaland, Mbappe and the goalkeeper

Poo. I think UCL qualification is fucked. These were the easy fixtures. What comes up next is brutal.

Robbo gets more time on the pitch ahead of the WC.

Kostas comes back from an unsuccessful loan.

The club gets a small fee for a player who‘s contract runs out and a competent back up LB.

Spurs stop having to play right footers on the left when Udogie inevitably gets injured.

Makes sense to me.

I’d argue that both the last two games were the most progress we’ve seen in a while. Created a bunch of chances both games.

Hope the football gods don’t punish my optimism.

Dear football gods, can we have at least one game in this putrid month where fans aren’t miserably posting about how shit we were afterwards?

Regards, some guy.

The beautiful game is still alive.

Very eager to witness this incredibly high pressure penalty
January 18, 2026 at 9:12 PM
My humble opinion on yesterday:

If we manage to consistently sustain pressure an camp in the opposition box like we did yesterday, short defensive lapses won’t matter since we’ll probably be 3-0 up by that point.

Question is, was yesterday repeatable or was it simply because of opposition level.

Hope we manage to sort Ibou out. I’d take him renewing over Guehi every day of the week.
🚨 Liverpool summer focus expected to be centre-back; no breakthrough on Konate contract + Van Dijk / Gomez expiring in 2027. Right-back recruitment not planned by #LFC this window & Salah staying but situation one to watch at end of season 🚨 @theathleticfc.bsky.social

The second Harry Maguire scored a winner at Anfield I knew the season was cursed and that we should expect the worst in every possible scenario.
Conor Bradley’s domestic season is over. He’s avoided an ACL injury but it is a significant knee injury with damage to bone and ligament. The #LFC man will undergo surgery in the coming days. Massive blow for player and club 🔴

Gotta say I agree with Arne here.

As fans I understand being pleasantly surprised that we didn’t let them have their symbolic title parade against us, but the performance itself still had a lot of the usual on-ball problems.
Slot 'bit surprised' by praise of Liverpool performance vs. Arsenal
The head coach compared it to the recent draws with Leeds and Fulham.

Btw, how many good successive games from Kerkez do we need until this false notion that he’s been shit stops?

Other than results not being unacceptably bad anymore, can you really argue any problems are being solved?
December 27, 2025 at 4:56 PM
We can’t manage games with the ball. We just can’t. It’s the only thing that genuinely makes me worry about the coach. It’s 2-0 bottom of the league at home. Keep the fucking ball. Stop giving yourself so many chances to defend.
December 27, 2025 at 4:11 PM
Well done Jeremie
I know the plan is to stop the rot but dear god we’re dire in posession. At some point you’d expect players not named Florian or Curtis to do something with the ball.

The Isak injury is awful, and could have negative future repercutions. The one good thing about it is that we now don’t have the “how do we fit the super expensive guy who barely tocuhes the ball into the team” problem in our currently very crowded plate of problems.

Good result. Awful performance. Fuck off Richarlison.
