The issue is that they should have better build up this development rather than just show Roy getting a small headstart. This lead to expectations of him taking over and thus ruining all attachment to Liko by having her MC position usurped. She will get back and win next time.

The issue is that they left the ending unresolved and with too many mysteries to make Liko's choice to stay home unrelatable. As bad as toxic Roy fans are, the anime and social media feeds these expectations they never bring sorely because they think themselves clever with secrets.
It’s obvious they’re marking Roy because he did something in a year while Liko stayed static I already talked about it here but bsky.app/profile/dent...

Yeah a whole poster cannot tell you everything and I really doubt the outrage about the leaks. No way are they making Liko no longer the main character nor do I think that Roy takes over with 4 new Pokemon.
KV art can be deceiving and I really think Pagogo stays, nothing suggests it's departure.

The poster is probably legit but they’re making assumptions. example are we sure it’s not just an appearance change which does happen a lot a “skip” with literally no team changes is what a week? And a long skip will damage Amietho’s development since he just flipped I’m sure they’re aware of that

People (not you, Caroline) really overthink things. First with Liko's backstory, then her team beating a champion, then this, and probably next beating Gibeon and getting a Boyfriend!
I do however assume that Roy gets a steel type and that he gets a big arc next, but so will Lik(mostly) and Dot!
