The New York Knicks will win the NBA Cup. What a special second half from this group.

Their reward is $500,000 and a road-home back-to-back in Indy on Thursday and back at MSG on Friday.

(I guaranteed a lot of guys will be sitting on Thursday in Indy)

Knicks fans are an insufferable bunch.

Now they’ll get to hang a banner in 4K, they’ll never shut up about their Amazon Prime championship.

I cannot stress this enough: if you or your child or you on behalf of your child treat admissions as a validation exercise rather than what amounts to a lottery you are begging for a massive hit to your ego. No matter how exemplary or impressive an applicant is it's just numerically punishing.

Devin Vassell is arguably the biggest swing factor in the NBA Cup final tonight. He is shooting 39% from beyond the arc, but he has glaring win/loss splits: 44% from deep in wins, but just 31% in losses. (via @basketballpoetry.com) ✍️ bit.ly/4qdc1Sj

Skip Holtz is stepping down from the Birmingham Stallions. He went 33-7 and won three straight USFL/UFL titles in four years.

He says he's not retiring. He's talked with CFB teams in the last few cycles.

I talked to Holtz last spring about his future: www.nytimes.com/athletic/623...
