Here's a T. Rex bored to death trying to bite their own tail. My partner asked me to animate it in stop motion, after she watched a video about the very important topic of "could T. Rex chew its own tail like a dog". The puppet is still a work in progress 🦖

And that's how you integrate digital elements into an exhibition. Part of the temporary "China's Dinosaur World" at the Shanghai Natural History Museum, China. Closing this November.

This week, a new megaraptor was described—found with its final meal still in its mouth!

The discovery of Joaquinraptor sheds light on megaraptoran evolution and palaeobiology 🧪🦖

The Green River Formation is rich in species diversity. This snapshot captures nocturnal animals emerging as their diurnal neighbors start to settle in.

This work is commissioned by the NPS to highlight species found in the Fossil Butte Monument in Wyoming.

#ZAVACEPHALE IS FINALLY OUT! 🥳 Our first definitive Early Cretaceous pachycephalosaur! (~15 my older than the previous oldest pachycephalosaurs) And the first hand material for the clade! I can't tell y'all how much of a pleasure it was to review this paper! ☺️

#Jaws didn't just scare a generation of beachgoers. It inspired future marine biologists like #MIT_WHOI grad student Jaida Elcock to explore the truth about #sharks!

As we're all taught, you can (usually) only directly date the age of a rock if it cooled from lava.

But here, scientists have dated dinosaur eggs, using uranium-lead ratios in the calcite. Hugely exciting, maybe groundbreaking.

My take @science.org

Scientists directly date dino eggshells for the first time
The new findings narrow age estimates for the clutch of eggs—and may help identify which species laid them

It's finally here! The next #Sketchasaur short starring the always-charismatic Spinosaurus, whose 'true colors' came out when we viewed it through the water. Let me know what you think!
