I just have to say for those of you not in LA that in the days before the horrible raids started, there was no crisis or whatever they would let you believe. It wasn't like something was escalating out of control and somebody had to step in. THEY are creating the problems.

It's actually preferable to use them instead of a signature. The govt did phase out the use of these but it's still needed for some very important admin stuff (and the bank of course).

I just discovered the practicality of seals in Japan. I use one for my bank so that the issue with signatures doesn't really come up.
