Today I listened to the radio, learned about an exhibition at the art gallery, met with a colleague and talked about stuff, got a book recommendation, checked it out of the university library, and got @sarahlibrarina.bsky.social ‘s phone fixed. Now a beer at Woof!. It is a good day.

Spent 20 minutes searching my digital notebooks for notes from a digital health summit earlier this year. Eventually found them in my paper notebook.

Which lines of poetry live rent free in your head?
‘O pointy birds, o pointy pointy,
Anoint my head, annointy-nointy’

And all of Stevie Smith’s short poems.

Doing the kind of soul sucking bureaucratic work that is literally making me seethe with the pointlessness of it. I might have finally found something I’m willing to have AI support.

Art history in 7th form was the best thing I ever studied. Vandals.
The galling thing is that they will be erasing the enormous role art played in the Christchurch rebuild. We relied on art of make the destruction bearable. We repeated this in covid.

The miserable pricks want our lives to suck - cause apparently its the only thing that gives the “Luxon class” joy
I am really fucking dark on Art History being removed from the new subject list lemme tell ya

Picked up Tubeway Army on vinyl at the Ōpoho school fair, one from the Martin Phillips collection. Listening to it on some recently acquired gear from Relics music. It’s a good day for music.
