I’ve been frustrated to see so much of the ongoing story about asylum seekers and the protests against them covered without hearing from those seeking asylum and now being met with hostility and hatred

I set out to speak to those directly affected to find out about the impact this is having 👇
We escaped war and torture but now we feel unsafe in Britain
Special report: Amid protests and rising aggression towards asylum seekers across the country, we spoke to those being targeted

Such sad news. Alex was an inspiration to so many and his mum Sue is one of the loveliest people I've had the pleasure of speaking to as an ECHO reporter. Thoughts with the whole family and everyone who knew Alex www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/news/liverpo...

Weather permitting, Goodison will host its final league derby today.

I spoke to the characters who make a matchday so special about their memories of the wonderful old ground and their feelings about the club moving on
'Gut-wrenching' farewell as Everton's 'bear pit' takes last stand

Pretty staggering details in this story. A near-two year trial, 50 tonnes of drugs smuggled into the country - the weight of 30 family cars, 40 tonnes of onions a week to mask the scent of narcotics and up to £7bn in possible earnings.

Really enjoyed Disney's new "Beatles '64" documentary.

Amazing archive footage of the band is matched with moving modern day interviews and it really does capture how they changed pop culture forever

My ⭐⭐⭐⭐ review here ⬇️

A shame it came after we moved across the park but the little parade on Dovedale is great. Laura's deli's tinned fish and posh Spanish crisps game really strong

On the streets of Liverpool, there is a humanitarian crisis

A perfect storm of problems means more and more people are finding themselves homeless & sleeping rough & it’s getting worse - it’s a situation playing out across the country

A difficult 🧵 on what I’ve found reporting on this situation
