anyone who thinks izzy had bad influence on ed should understand that izzy is just a little brat wanting to be dominated
i've said it before but i'm convinced more and more the main/canyon isn't built on whether you ship (or shipped) gb, it's much deeper. literally different shows. and different audience & people. no surprise there are so many arguments and misunderstandings. and i wouldn't even mind if 'main fans'

main pairing shippers struggle to imagine different combinations of ships as like EEAAO alternate timelines. to them there is One set of these guys, and a shout out to another ship, esp one with such strong canon evidence in support of it as EdIzzy, is like wrecking GB

i feel like sometimes ppl priotitize trying to make Ed into the ideal partner for Stede. It's easier for Stede if Ed's "darkness" is all Izzy and Ed is just a princess in a tower Stede needs to rescue. But that is why Ed interpret's Izzy's love as unconditional vs. Stede's more naive feelings
very unpopular interpretation but i'm sure ed killed after his father. not strangling probably or killing with bare hands, but not only by letting or ordering other people to kill for him. it's impossible even in ofmd logic, he's a grown ass pirate, he couldn't have become a CAPTAIN especially

i like tho we canonically got Izzy in oversized shirt he had to tie up and the sleeves still slipped down 🙏🏻
