PGE EV rates are $0.30-$0.36 if you charge off peak and your residence qualifies for their EV rates. This has no bearing on public chargers which people “use” when traveling. Or when home charging is NOT an option. Condos. Apartments. ADU’s. Many rentals. Etc.

You must be on something other than PGE? The EV rate is $0.30 or more for off peak. Peak is $0.47-$0.60. It is on their website. Can’t use EV rate on multiple dwelling sites.

Speaking of energy prices. It’s now $0.64 per kw/h to charge an EV at a public station in California. It’s $0.46-0.56 per kw/h to charge at home in California.
