@stopoxevision.bsky.social have a template letter and a bunch of easy read resources to explain why this tech doesn't help staff care for patients, it doesn't work in the ways Lio claim it does and it does violate patient rights to privacy and dignity.

Not only is this system an infringement on mental health patients' privacy, there is no evidence base behind its use in Inpatient wards. This system is also surveillance, and unhelpful for patients who do not consent to this and have trauma and/or symptoms involving surveillance.

‘Consent’ is also quite meaningless in these situations. I’d have consented to anything which meant they weren’t turning the lights on every hour to check on me. I also didn’t really care because I didn’t think I had a future. Now, I’d be appalled if there was footage of me on camera like this. /1

Oxevision is a highly controversial for-profit surveillance technology being used by half of NHS trusts in mental health patient bedrooms. @stopoxevision.bsky.social have been campaigning since 2023 to halt its use.
