i think i talked myself out of preferring michael and annori over bō and annori. also, i had to soften bō up a little bit, but he will still be a little shit that messes up with annori from time to time, but he was starting to get into "unforgiveable" territory with his actions.

just thought of this, but i think bo's social circle would primarily refer to him as jb while annori is the only one to refer to him jiàn bō, or just bo. which is probably what made bo simultaneously annoyed as all fuck by annori and egregiously down bad for him.

whether it was friendship, a relationship, or both. bo craved it with annori. he had never craved another person like he craved annori and he almost ruined it because of his own insecurities.

but then annori came into his life & changed everything. annori didnt just power through his attitudes, he challenged bo, stood up him, and still showed up to do it all over again the next day. he took interest in bo as a person, took interest in his art, and made bo consider engaging in smth real.

he became a party guy to fit in, he kept relationships to casual hook ups because he couldnt deal with putting himself out there to build a connection just to have it dropped. he became the asshole to keep people an arms length away at all times.

he decided to be true to himself and pursue the one thing he loved and it cost him his home, his family, his culture. he moved countries alone, and lived alone until he found people who liked him enough to invite him to parties. but that was all it ever was.

because he's made big decisions in his life. he decided to pursue art and he decided to move away from his family to do it. it wasnt the decisions that scared him, but it was making thise decisions and then losing everything afterwards.

so. i've formulated a plot that explains where this new boo for annori comes from, his relation to bo, and what this man does that ultimately is a dealbreaker and makes bo crash a wedding to confess to annori.
