The House Republican reconciliation bill will now ban both surgeries and HRT prescription under Medicaid for all Americans.

Earlier, I posted that it wouldn’t affect HRT. This is incorrect.

I was mistaken, because the bill refers to medications for trans people… as “procedures.”

It has come to my attention that Discord has implemented a new feature for "image generation enhancement" options.
These tools pose significant copyright issues for anyone posting content, especially for European users and they have been enabled without the users' explicit consent and without and readily available option to opt-out of their use for either themselves or any users of any servers they admin.
They also represent a nightmare for moderation duties for those who want to keep curated spaces and keep using the platform without spam in an era in which bots and misinformation are one of the biggest problems of the overall internet experience.

As such I expect that Discord, like other online services, will allow for full deactivation of these features upon request and cease any push forward immediately, as they go against Discord's own Terms of Use in "(g) Restriction on Use of Discord Data. Provider will not use any of Discord Data to which Provider has access to train any algorithm or model, including at large language models, generative AI, or other artificial intelligence technology."

If a removal of these features is not possible or if staff fails to comply in the near future or at all, I will look into moving to another service and cancel my NITRO subscription immediately, as I use it for my business and I can't risk my intellectual property to be stolen and used any further by genAI in my own server or in others through the "Forward" tool.
