I appreciate Ted Lieu explaining to Americans that Trump is a criminal. But I can’t stop thinking that Democrats still don’t realize that if the person speaking isn’t white, half of the audience won’t pay attention. and it’s exactly that half who needs to hear it, since the other half already knows.

38B in detention centers doesn’t fix the asylum system, immigration backlogs, or address the root causes of people coming to the USA en masse. What it does is create massive contracts for private companies and normalizes the idea that mass incarceration is a reasonable response.

To clarify, FCC commissioner Brendan Carr sent a letter on Jan 21. THINKING about dropping the equal time rule for news interviews and talk show interviews, not actually doing it. This is free speech suppression and if you’re for it, you’re a problem.
