Why does screen legend Dick Van Dyke support the fight for equality? It's simple: "Hate eats up your insides." Happy 100th birthday to #NOH8 supporter #DickVanDyke #NOH8Day #DVD100

I returned 7 books to the library and came back with 7 books. Will I read them all? Nope. Will I read some of them? Maybe. Is the likeliest outcome that I will page through them and just enjoy having them here with me for a couple of weeks? Probably. 🤷‍♀️

Needed to do a little bit of gift shopping, took the new dress coat out for a spin downtown. 😊 It’s pretty much like wearing a fancy blanket, and I love it. 😁 Also, check out the sky over the lake! We’re gonna get more snow yet, I’m sure.

I'm lucky that I can just hunker down and stay home.

I'm trying to think of what would actually surprise people, because I feel like most of what I love is on-brand for me... Maybe "She Said"? That's rather different from most of my favorites.
What is a movie that you love that would surprise most people who know you?

#Christmas has arrived! 😊

(Look, I lugged this tree up from the basement and assembled it and then strung it with lights all on my own. I am feeling accomplished. 😁)

I know that one should never feed the trolls. I know that. I know that they feed on your anger (which is so fucked up. seriously, what the fuck?). I just... I can't stand seeing people being bullied. Trolls are bullies. I hate them so much.

Could I talk about Sherlock & Co forever? Yes — yes, I could. 😂

Please enjoy!

Paul Thomas Miller organized a wonderful project, and I needed to write about it. He got a handful of Sherlockians to create a brand-new list of essential books (and periodicals) for a #Sherlockian library! #SherlockHolmes

A Love Letter to The Shaw 100
The Shaw 100 is something that has always fascinated me. John Bennett Shaw, a Sherlockian I would have loved to meet, compiled a list originally of one hundred items he felt should be in every Sher…

What's very funny to me is that by the time Part 2 posts, Sherlock & Co will be done with The Hound. But hey, I've got the Watsonian Weekly for digging into that! 😁

I appreciate @timmiller.bsky.social’s righteous anger and disgust at this moral insanity, because yes, we should be disgusted and we should be angry, and we’re not crazy for feeling those emotions.
"This is what Donald Trump has done to these people....They can no longer have enough clarity of vision to be able to say, you know what? I don't need to debase myself for this mushroom-dicked fucking piece of shit in the White House."

I made this for a college assignment, 12 years ago. Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows was still recent, and the last episode of Sherlock was "The Reichenbach Fall," so I went all out on a "Final Problem" theme.

I always did want to make a magazine. 😂 #SherlockHolmes #Sherlockians

So, in the space of 24 hours, I:
• Got my 2nd invite to the BSI Dinner
• Found out that my car battery and front driver axle needed replacing. Repairs to the tune of $1K+.
• Landed a 2nd freelance gig.

That's a rollercoaster! Also within that time, we experienced a small but mighty Blue Wave.

I’m just saying that *if* somebody had wanted to put a curse on Dick Cheney, “On the day you die, may a Muslim immigrant Democratic Socialist become mayor of New York City” would be a pretty good one.

Thinking of this:

"I've heard it said that hope is the consequence of action more than its cause... Instead of waiting around for hope, we actually have an obligation — a responsibility — to build hope, and that hope is the result of what we do in this moment."

- Pete Buttigieg
Trump tries to build a fake wall of inevitability around everything he does.

Today, voters - literally from sea to shining sea - broke through all that, and this is just the beginning.
