Yes star citizen is the greatest scam in the history of gaming, but the other interesting thing is the fact that they offered the outrageously-spendy sim audience the only innovative sci-fi game in the whole genre. Like there is something to that.

i think it's interesting that the two biggest cultural moments for climbing of the last 10 years are free soloing and olympic speed climbing. both of which are complete and utter anathema to the average climber.
Well this seems like a truly awful trend for streaming events.

it's annoying that all media relating to trail running assumes you're coming from road running, as opposed to being a hiker who wants to go fast

Nice try, IRS
I don’t give a shit about your accomplishments this year. What’s the dumbest shit you did the past 12 months? The truly stupidest decision you made in 2025?

Sometimes I think AI use in games is going to end up like organic produce, but the thing is, you can audit fruit for pesticides. I do not know how you audit a game's source for machine-written code, or audit their writers for having bounced an idea off of chatGPT without going to a Very Weird Place

in CPG marketing, there are three levers to increase sales volume:

1. new customers (hard if you're mayo)
2. drive faster depletion (use more mayo plz?)
3. new use-cases (the shit down there)

guess which one is the most fun for junior copywriters to crank out when they get stuck on blog duty?
I'm just going to put this here and walk away slowly. www.hellmanns.com/us/en/r/froz...

Twitter’s monetization encourages people to post the most batshit possible things they can imagine. It’s literally just a middle school lunchroom with kids competing to annoy adults.
