if you're wondering how he tells Alastor all the info he researches...

how old do you think fax machines are? because they're older than you're guessing
don't get it twisted they aren't together this isn't that sort of OC self insert... he was actually a side character for a RadioDust fic I never actually typed up. It just stayed in my head.
he's only ever addressed as 'little researcher' by Alastor, and his deal includes some things that are pretty sweet if he does say so himself.

He mans a safehouse and keeps everything in use while having an office where tech is allowed so he can do his damn job since Alastor wants info.
what silly side idea for an in universe story did you give this oc Jak?

Oh well I made him Alastor's news researcher.

The man doesn't do daily news but every radio program can benefit from a good deep dive.

So he's basically a glorified google since the old man won't use the hellnet.
there I made an extremely self indulgent demon oc lmao
I should just put shoes on him so I don't have to bother with bunny feet lmao
sup bambi #radioapple #luciferhazbinhotel #hazbinhotelfanart lu robe appreciation hours

he's gonna ruin that deer man
1) I cannot decide whether I like him in my style with four or five fingers more

2) Is this playing my hand on what kind of artist I am at heart, or did my pfp already clue you in?

scribbled his nasty self a few more times and this is about where I've gotten and I think I'm satisfied with how he looks.

The key was to stop looking at the reference and just draw in my style ffs lmfao

now I'm gonna mention that it also sounds like Up There from Southpark Bigger Longer and Uncut because I've been doing a Satan impression and singing this song to that tune for like two hours to annoy my husband

the key is that conventions need to vet their vendors and get a good mix of different merchandise in their vendors hall, rather than "Anime Funtime LLC" and "Funtime Anime Inc" and "Time Fun Anime," all with eight tables each, all selling the same keychains/plushies from the same two distributors.
Anime convention vendor rooms should have fewer collectible tchotchkes and more obscure stuff that’s difficult/impossible to find elsewhere. Kigurumi masks, breast forms / chest binders for crossplayers, that kind of thing.
Friends, #weebwednesday is upon us once again! You know the drill - quote-post with your weebiest hot takes, nothing racist, nothing intentionally inflammatory, have fun with it ♥
I read this and laughed for an additional half an hour, while thinking of every media I could with terrible characters turned into fan faves.

Then I got to anime and started laughing again. Oh no.
is this the same interview where he decided to randomly bring up some streamer drama god I hate this dude so much
There is something to be said for the sin of reminding you of something else comparable/considered better but... it's a tiny sin, and not one I think is a detriment to Hazbin Hotel in any way.

It's not Man of Steel constantly reminding you of the movies it's stealing from, after all.
The whole chorus I could just hear Satan singing his soul out on a balcony before the climax of Terrence and Philip's execution

Not in a copycat way mind you. This felt like an homage to that song in a way that may not even be on purpose.
Bloomser on youtube compared the Hazbin Hotel storyline to the storyline of Satan in the South Park movie.

He is correct.

Once We Get Up There absolutely IS Up There from South Park

So much so that I thought of his essay on the series when I heard it.
The music is great so far. The heaven pop songs are the weakest as usual, with Sera's ballad being probably the strongest performance so far.

I knew people would backtrack on hating the opening number once the ep aired, and yep. Figures. It's a standard musical opening.
Considering that the first season was recorded DURING COVID under less than ideal conditions it's amazing they got the voice work they did. Shows what Viv and Richard can pull out of people.

This season it's more normal production and you can feel the difference.
In the first season it felt like they wanted her Brooklyn99 character and to have her sing there, which is lower than her usual singing register. It left Vaggie's voice acting flat even when she was yelling.

This season Stephanie is emoting and letting her voice be more nuanced. It's GREAT.
Joel did it too. I think one's who have done it the least are Keith David and the broadway cast. This tracks entirely.

One person who has had some delivery changes and sounds SO MUCH BETTER is Stephanie Beatriz. I don't know if it's because she's more comfortable or what but she's on fire so far.
this isn't a dig at him, I love his performance!

It's just kinda cute cuz I know he's the most inexperienced one.

(Alastor does it too, which is kinda hilarious. Especially obvious in the Viv birthday recap song. Amir's slightly higher tone is fun)
Angel Dust asking if Charlie was down for possible therapy time. To discuss his feelings about stuff.

MY HEART

MY SWEET SPIDER BOY

Blake Roman is the most obvious person who listened to his first season and is trying to sound like the finished show. Richard Horovitz did the same thing as Zim lol
Full disclosure I hated the pilot when it came out.

Even then, even then, I would have to be sure to say that it was an amazing accomplishment and that I was proud as an artist to see something so unique take off.

Because holy shit the people who hate hazbin are their own hatefandom unto itself.
