Although it was half the weight of a Fouga Magister, the Microjet 200 had only a quarter of the thrust, and somehow managed to have a higher wing loading.

It was dangerously overweight, despite being made of wood. Sometimes very cheap is too expensive.
1980, The Microturbo "Microjet 200" was a French two-seater aircraft equipped with two low-power Microturbo engines. It was designed for pilot training, and was to be characterised by very low purchase and operating costs.

convenient interstellar travel? oh no, that's for babies.

grownups write about "quantum AI" that's smarter than the entire human race put together somehow, because that's hard science and totally the real future that will happen 🙄

You got vaccinated for herd immunity. It's time to get armed for herd immunity.

They can do whatever they like if they do it to one of us at a time.

with a little tweaking the ring now contributes 70% of the lift

the canard is providing 15%, the landing gear stubs a surprising 5%, and the remainder comes from the fuselage and the fins inside the duct

L/D is just under 10:1 which is not terrible considering how little effort I put into this
hehehe

Really wishing there was a mod to replace the manual QTE/parry system with a dice-based chance using the character's stats, as in a proper RPG.
genuinely want to know, why does this turn based RPG have quick time events and timed dodges?

I was expecting a strategy game 🤦‍♂️
finally got Expedition 33 to run long enough to get my ass kicked by a mime

sobbing with laughter here, totally worth the weeks of troubleshooting

A very cool person has launched a 3rd party sync client for #ProtonDrive that works on Linux!

It's in beta and only does upstream sync (from local machine to cloud, not the reverse) for now.

Sometimes I think those ultra-longevity crackpots are going to turn out to be right when they say "the first person to be immortal has already been born"....

...but it's going to turn out that that person doesn't become immortal until they're like 90 years old and has to be 90 forever. 👴

Oh boy. Looks like the Youtube age restriction garbage has become impossible to avoid.

I refuse to give them an inch, nevermind my ID, so I guess I'll be watching a lot less in the future.

If there are any Australians out there looking to open a private airstrip, YNOT, YOLO, YURI, YASS (or YAAS), and YUCK are all valid ICAO codes that aren't taken...

(or YABY if you're into crayfish)

slightly tweaked the wing geometry again, and dug through NACA technical reports to find the most accurate polar data possible for the 63A-209 section

what will (probably) end up being the Cairglen Rainbow now slightly exceeds an early F-86 in all* metrics and is a very hot ship for the year r.602
