NOT “suspected drug cartels.” These are extrajudicial murders.
In general, anyone who is proud of his self-admitted history of “violent” military service should raise some red flags.

Surely there has to be another “plain-spoken” candidate in Maine.
Because, sadly, we are a nation of addicts.
Also, it seems like we need a reminder that Bernie is not a Democrat; he just caucuses with the Senate Dems.
There is still time to recruit other Dem candidates. He can’t be the only “plain-spoken” person in Maine. And we need authenticity in our candidates right now more than we need deep political experience, IMO.
Thank you. Military background is always a red flag for me.

The military is essentially a system designed to indoctrinate people to kill (note Hegseth and his “warrior ethos” and “lethality” rhetoric; he’s just saying the quiet part out loud).

What could go wrong?
Isn’t there time to recruit New Democrat candidates for both Senate and the Congressional seat?

SNAP benefits are about to lapse for 42 million people, because nothing says “save the children” like starving them.
There are always exceptions, and Bernie is FAR from a freshman. I do think he should retire. Enough is enough.

In general, the average age of Democrats in Congress is not representative of the general population. And it shows.
There’s definitely exceptions like Buttigieg and Duckworth. It’s the system and the culture that pervades the military that concerns me. Also, I believe members of the military are over represented in Congress in relation to the percentage they represent in the general population.
She’s already running. And no. The oldest freshman Senator ever elected???
The military service is ALWAYS a red flag for me. Doesn’t mean every individual who served is problematic — but the military is a system that tends to produce a subset of people who tend to default to violence or authoritarian control.

When even ‘exponential’ growth of renewables isn’t enough to curb fossil fuel emissions we SHOULD be asking what the fuck are we using all this energy for?

Most of it isn’t improving people’s lives, instead it’s driving mindless consumption, shareholder wealth & mass inequality.

Bleak report finds greenhouse gas emissions are still rising despite ‘exponential’ growth of renewables

This is what a corrupt lying grifter says and does.

The evidence indicates that none of this money will go to any charity not controlled by Trump or his family.
You know nothing, Jon Snow😆
Same. And also I try to acknowledge that these companies have embedded themselves so deeply in our capitalist society that it’s challenging for many to stop cold turkey. They have killed competition, so viable options are now rare. It’s a systemic issue as much as an individual one, IMO.
If possible, stop spending money or supporting the apps of donors to the destruction including Amazon, Microsoft, Meta apps, and Alphabet/Google.
The dollars we spend at Amazon and Microsoft, and our support of Google and Meta apps PAY for this destruction.

Boycott whenever possible.
And all the corrupt people/companies who donated to the destruction as a bribe Trump in exchange for favors.

“Trump invited dozens of donors…In attendance were representatives from Lockheed Martin, Microsoft, Meta, Alphabet’s Google, Amazon and Palantir Technologies…”
Her book was so deeply felt. A must-read IMO.
“Trump invited dozens of donors helping to bankroll the under-construction ballroom with gold-lettered invitations. In attendance were representatives from Lockheed Martin, Microsoft, Meta, Alphabet’s Google, Amazon and Palantir Technologies…”

Transparent and leaky aren’t the same thing.
