Well… I will be cancelling my streaming service for #paramount today and no longer watching #cbs. Not gonna support a company that caves to the #trump admin and eliminates #DEI practices. That’s another company I won’t support. I will be reading more books this summer instead.

The incompetence is staggering

Firing people in charge of maintaining the safety of nuclear weapons is insane. This will adversely effect people the environment and our wildlife.

According to an NNSA employee, roughly 300 of the agency's 1,800 staff are expected to be fired after the agency was denied a national security exemption. The small organization is responsible for maintaining and upgrading America's arsenal of nuclear weapons, combatting nuclear terrorism, and preventing proliferation around the world.

According to an Energy Department official, the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) had suggested the agency use a template that cited "performance reasons" as the cause of the firings. The official said the Energy Department letter had removed that phrasing because many of the employees had performed well during their probationary period. The Energy Department's press office did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Paul Martin, the inspector general for the USAID, has been fired after resisting the administration. Just a day ago, his office released a report warning that staff reductions and spending freezes put hundreds of millions in taxpayer dollars at risk of misuse and waste. This is the way.
