Want to give your loved ones something different?

Forego tedious shopping, give something unique: make a gift, cook a gift, provide a service - homework help, housecleaning, transportation, gardening assistance, etc. - or gift your time & schedule a hangout.

Surprise somebody!

It’s not a great deal if you don’t need it. And especially this year, others really need support. So for all of us who have enough, let’s refuse to get sucked into the holiday shopping frenzy and share instead of shop. We don’t need more stuff, we need communities where all our neighbors are safe.

Why orthodox, staid Dems need to be largely replaced. (Obviously GOP could care less about struggling folks.)
GUARDIAN: “Per head, 🇺🇸 output is six times China’s, and yet, inexplicably, there seem to be more abjectly poor Americans than Chinese. 🇺🇸 inequality is breathtaking… keeps getting worse…”

Wanting to address this isn’t radical.

NOT wanting to is.

Today NASA won’t call this #climate #change & imaging stops mostly before 2020, but there are some powerful visualizations at the URL below.
World of Change: Antarctic Sea Ice - NASA Science
Ice has more room to expand around the continent in winter. But it also stretches into warmer latitudes, leading to more melting in summer.

Why “build build build” isn’t enough. Just building stuff doesn’t make housing affordable. And why CEQA isn’t to blame for the cost of rent for renters.

“World governments agreed on Saturday to a compromise climate deal at the COP30 conference in Brazil that would boost finance for poor nations coping with global warming but omit any mention of the fossil fuels driving it.”

An example of the kind of person Border Patrol / ICE looks for.
No one is above the law. Off to jail, ICE. A 45-year-old Riverside County man, identified as an agent with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, has been arrested for allegedly detaining a minor at gunpoint while off duty.
