Particularly pretty lighting in Palos Verdes tonight. And I went to a redwood grove today.

I did the Panorama Trail for the first time today and my hip flexors had a little protest.

There is so much in the news cycle these days that the complete dismantling of the Forest Service -- so *our* forests can be auctioned off to Big TImber -- is unfortunately getting little air play. But if this happens, US landscapes may be almost unrecognizable in a decade, and never coming back. 🌍

Using an emergency declaration, Trump’s timber production executive order would ease environmental protections so as to greatly expand logging in the national forests.

A report from our friends at @highcountrynews.org:
The dismantling of the US Forest Service is imminent
The public has less than a week remaining to comment on the administration's plans.

journalism was never cool. *Robert Redford and Hoffman* were cool b/c the only way to make a Watergate movie was to have it star these two extremely cool/sexy people!

Reporters and good reporting are vital to a functioning democracy but it's a job for fucking dorks! It's a dorky profession! JFC!

It’s tough saying good bye to your furry companion who lasted 17 years. (Even tougher knowing it was treatable a week ago, but the animal hospital vet screwed up big time.) :(

Huntington Beach, CA - Crowd a bit more apprehensive now, though many are discussing joining or taking Neo-Nazi literature. Saw some 10ish year olds with flyers in their hands. Patriot Front members all standing by a sign that says “crush the left.” Some chanting “unite the right/crush the left.

Yeah, TO was far for me on a Friday night, plus o have a hockey game. Glen also happens to be super nice. His pandemic livestreams were how I knew what day of the week it was during that lockdown period!

Their lead singer also puts on great solo shows. I didn’t see them live until right after the pandemic! Now I go when they’re in town or I’ll even trek up to Santa Barbara for a day trip.

Definitely see them live if you haven’t!
