This should set off alarms in your head. I'm not one for conspiracy theories but...a GOP Election official bought Dominion Voting Systems (and renamed it Liberty Vote). This does NOT bode well for free and fair elections going forward.

A seaside tourist town that I used to live is always busy until Halloween but it started shutting down in late September this year. And the summer numbers were off too. It's the political climate here. NOBODY wants to risk getting caught up in a raid even if they're here legally.

Vance is back in Indiana today, personally pressuring GOP lawmakers to ignore their conscience and enact an extreme gerrymandering plan. The fact that they have to send in the VP tells us something important and encouraging: political pressure against this plan is working, even in deep red places.

Pssst: perhaps sending military units into cities that aren't rioting, sending ICE to deport people who are following the rules, separating families, dismantling democracy and committing felonies aren't the way to get that Nobel.

Nothing remotely resembling an insurrection is happening anywhere in the country. Any violence associated with protest has been isolated, mild, and, in nearly every case, instigated by federal law enforcement. If we let Trump get away with calling dissent an insurrection, our republic is over.
