Donated some of my filthy lucre to help families in Minnesota. Daughter threw in a bit as well. Not much, but every little bit helps.

If you got something to spare, maybe send it along.
we recognize that amazon is NOT AN IDEAL TOOL for this moment, so for those who don't want to give them money (fair!!!) please visit standwithminnesota.com and pick someone from the MANY OPTIONS. There are so many folks who need help! 💓

Four months of shootings and deaths. This doesn't even count the neglect and death in their concentration camps. Fuck. This. Shit.

Fascists love to harp back to the glory days of empire, the 18th and 19th centuries, wanting to make X great again, and forget that generally liberal democracy was not leftist elite over reach. It was a compromise to sustain capitalism after conditions led subject populations to revolt repeatedly.

Art is never trivial. One of the goals of state violence is to undermine the power of artists and the experience of art, however banal that experience might be.
Posting movie stuff feels so utterly trivial right now.

A reminder to the news media: “conflicting accounts” is what you say BEFORE the incontrovertible video evidence appears. After that, your job is to ask why one side is lying, not to repeat the lie and pretend no one knows the truth.

Of course F#ck 'Em Up is in this, but that's free, so also including Starship Commandos and League of Misfits.

You should definitely submit a game session (or more!) if you’re going to CanGames. Great people organizing this long-running convention.
If anyone wants to run games at CanGames 2026 in Ottawa, now is the perfect time to submit your events. We would love to see more indie designers and publishers at the show! cangames.ca

And in non-political thoughts (difficult, but I need to take a breath)

Working on the second edition of Kiss My Axe is creating a push to update Sword's Edge (and maybe even Sword Noir).

A key change to how Momentum (think initiative) works is being born, and it alters some fundamentals.

I dream of a municipal politician like this.

Can we clone him?
One of the hardest things to do is bring campaign-level communications to the work of governance, and snowstorms are notoriously one of the biggest litmus tests that less-engaged voters use to judge mayoral administrations. This is an excellent way to communicate.

How the F is Bill F'n Kristol so far out in front?
this is right. you don't have to work out every detail. start with no. go from there.
Senate Dems needn’t come to agreement on everything right now. That’s a path to the lowest common denominator. They simply have to agree to filibuster DHS approps. As to which of a host of anti-brutality and anti-authoritarian proposals to advance, let a thousand flowers bloom.

This is definitely true for me. Leiber was a terrific influence, both as a fantasy writer and an sf writer. Genius, and now virtually out of print.
That Other American Tolkien
When I was a child, the novels of Fritz Leiber were way more important to me than The Hobbit or The Lord of the Rings. If anything Tolkien was the British Leiber

I've set Cute In Kevlar aside as I think I want to approach it a different way, so my current WIP is going to be Harshwood--Silverado as a F#ck 'Em Up! adventure.
While I've got started in Cute In Kevlar--a new adventure for F#ck 'Em Up--my current efforts are to prep for the work team's Christmas party.

And while F#ck 'Em Up is free, the rest of my stuff is on sale for the next few days as part of @itch.io's Black Friday sale.

For me, the key thing that Cyberpunk 2077 got very right--story-wise--was it made me feel for Jackie. His death never ceases to have an emotional impact, nor does interacting with his mom.

And I've done a lot of playthroughs.

For me, it's the emotional core of the game. Even more than Johnny.

It's kinda funny (or depressing . . . y'know, what you will) that this sounds so much like North Korea--it has a hard time believing we actually have freedom of the press, that the government doesn't control the media like Pyongyang does.

Oh. Wait. . . nevermind.
Norwegian PM Støre says Trump repeatedly raises—complains about, pleads for, and demands—the Nobel Peace Prize every time they meet. Støre gives same answer each time: decision is made independently by Norwegian Nobel Committee, with no role for Norwegian gov—a concept Trump appears unable to grasp.
