the fastest way to kill motivation is to make your identity depend on the outcome. it's called ego involvement. when failing becomes failing as a person, your brain starts avoiding the whole thing. not because you don't care, but because you care too much.

you don't need lower standards. you need less self-worth tangled up in your goals. the work gets easier when it's not about proving who you are.

I enjoy a well-thought-out, rule-based magic system in fiction as much as anyone, BUT I also think that we should give more props to what Terry Pratchett did in the Discworld books, where it was less about rules and more about vibes and, more importantly, what fit a given story the best.

Did you read the post? It very much states they were unaware of the propaganda. So I would hardly say they were happy to put it in there…
Don't misunderstand, I'm not disputing the exploitation but I feel it unfair to accuse them of white supremacy when the post you shared says they were unaware.
