watching ys 1 & 2 pce, something i noticed is that you can bump enemies head-on sometimes without taking damage. my recollection of the pc88 version was that you always take damage unless you're a half-tile off, but i was wrong! you can bump head-on, but you take damage when an enemy moves into you

stumbled on a mostly negative but thoughtful review of discover the world, always interesting to read these because most people are either nice or don't say anything.. part i'm zeroing in on is they didn't find the world evocative enough to motivate them, which makes a lot of sense
