This study was done in a midwestern clinic that had banned GAC for young people, so I'd be really interested in hearing whether any of the 3/400 who stopped transitioning did so because their parents forced them to or threatened to cut them off or something.

"Death of the Author" doesn't mean separating the author's bad behaviour from their art. It means taking away their authority and allowing readers to interpret the art based on their own perspectives. It doesn't absolve the author of being a bastard, in fact it may inform how you interpret the art.
