I've been searching for communities to move to and so many are as self-congratulatory as the US administration while requiring you to have a certain image to belong
It's the most mediocre tribalism

I never dreamed that collapse would still entail so much consumerism, the rise of acrylic nails, ads & entertainment industry that act like all is normal, needless trinkets still manufactured

It sucks I can't get rid of Facebook because the groups I'm in are doing the heavy lifting of all my healthcare info as well as that for my elderly parents

My dad contemptously calls these hobbies I don't deserve to have

⚠️ Worth paying attention to the focus on Emergency Room care here because I expect they are going to try to get rid of the Emergency Medical Treatment and Active Labor Act (EMTALA), which is was passed in 1986 under Reagan and is what makes ER care available to everyone regardless of ability to pay.
