I guess, though I suppose my posts may come off as more bashing our American friends than I intended, haha. It's not really the fault of the individual, but how American society almost seems to say "don't bother about the rest of the world, the US is the best, and you're here already".

I do feel sorry for people who haven't had the chance to experience other cultures (or countries) but it can definitely be daunting, even scary. The world is a weird and wonderful place, though admittedly there's less-nice parts too. I count myself lucky to have had the chance to see some of it.

To be fair, I think this is more a case of Americans forgetting that more than they speak English, so whilst they see themselves addressing fellow Americans (and speaking American), people in Canada, Australia, the UK, etc. all see that post and thing "huh, that's definitely not my experience...".
Resisting the urge to correct Americans when they talk about things from an American perspective and ignore the possibility of literally any other POV when making huge sweeping generalisations.

Look, I know, I know, you’re brought up from birth to believe only one nation matters, but C’MON. Look at a globe sometime. People live in all those other parts of the world too. We didn’t just give them funny names to amuse you.
