Last night I called Chuck Schumer to beg him to hold the line, this morning I asked him to step down from his leadership role and not run for reelection. I said it was shameful to let poor people starve for a shutdown only to cave in the face of inconvenient travel. You should call that weasel, too.

The USDA sent an email to grocery stores telling them they are prohibited from offering special discounts to customers affected by the SNAP funding lapse.
I'm aware of at least 2 stores that had offered struggling customers a discount, then withdrew it after receiving this email
