Today’s announcement puts down a marker for even more ambitious action.

The opportunity now is clear: scrap the benefit cap to help families in deep poverty and build this into a long-term #ChildPovertyStrategy, that puts children's wellbeing at the heart of the government's priorities.

Today’s #Budget comes at a time when families are facing some of the hardest pressures.

We warmly welcome today’s decision to lift the two-child limit. It is the right thing to do and represents a significant course correction towards our system working for every child.

Victims of child criminal exploitation need protection, not punishment. We applaud Lord Hampton & Baroness Moulsecoomb's advocacy and thank them for mentioning us - together we’ll keep fighting for measures that put children’s safety at the heart of the Crime and Policing Bill.

Heading into Christmas, the last thing parents should worry about is school uniform prices.

Yet 54% of lowest income families struggle to pay for uniforms.

We encourage the prompt implementation of the limit on branded uniform items in the Children’s Wellbeing and Schools Bill.

“It’s simply not right that across the UK, too many children are facing a harsh winter without the basics they need to stay warm, healthy and hopeful,” said Lynn Perry, our CEO. 300,000 children could be without a winter coat this year. Together, we can change this.

Every day, 109 children are pushed into poverty because of the two-child limit.

Children deserve a fair start in life. We are calling on the chancellor to scrap this unfair policy in the upcoming budget as part of the @endchildpoverty.bsky.social coalition 📣

Every child should feel free to choose their future without barriers.

After our Lifting Limits programme, more girls believed they could be footballers, and more boys believed they could be teachers.

Today, we remember & honour those who served in the armed forces.

Many children growing up in armed force families are young carers. These young carers manage caring responsibilities in the armed forces community, while navigating school & social life.
