The Tasselled Wobbegong is a master of disguise that can eat a fish almost as big as itself in one gulp. It's classified as a shark, but when it lays on the sea floor it looks like a harmless rug if you manage to see it. But with powerful jaws and sharp teeth they are no fish to mess with.

This defense from Hoyer was a notable exception amid a lot of silence and criticism. He was genuinely admonishing Republicans and kept referring to the Squad members by first name.

They deserved at least that type of basic, humanizing defense every time.

House Majority Leader Hoyer prints out Rep. Greene's 'Squad's worst nightmare' post, defends Democratic colleagues on House floor
"They're not 'the Squad.' They're Ilhan. They're Alexandria. They're Rashida. They are people. They are our colleagues," Hoyer said.

If your naturalization case is or will be put on hold by this, especially after the interview, go see an immigration lawyer now.

Naturalization is not discretionary, and federal judges have a unique role in deciding delayed naturalization cases.
The Trump admin has paused all immigration and naturalization processes for people from one of the 19 travel ban countries; including Cuba and Venezuela.

Even people who fully passed the citizenship exam are having their cases put on hold, just inches from the finish line.
Scoop: The Trump administration has paused all immigration applications filed by people from 19 countries banned from travel to the United States earlier this year, halting green card and U.S. citizenship processing for broad swaths of people.

More coming soon.

Once Again, The Trump Administration Is Caught Lying About Deportation Options For Kilmar Abrego Garcia
The Trump administration just lies and lies and lies. Those in charge assume they can just bluster their way past the system of checks and balances. For everything else, there's AI generated memes depicting Trump taking a shit on the people he serves. Win-win, I guess. But things haven't exactly been running smoothly for Trump's mass deportation program -- one that seems to run entirely on his cabinet's hatred for anyone who may not be entirely on board the MAGA bus.

They demonstrated pretty conclusively that they understand how to cover pardons as if they are huge scandals when they ran multiple days of banner headlines and scolding op-eds and follow ups when Biden pardoned Hunter exactly one year ago.

They just choose not to for trump because they like him
It’s wild how the press is ok with the president abusing the pardon power. That used to be one of the most scrutinized things about a presidency.
