I built a full #Quarkus app that loads an image, runs it through #ImageMagick, and returns a polaroid — all through the Foreign Function & Memory API in JDK 25.

If you’re curious how #Java taps into the same native performance Python relies on, this is for you.

Federal agents shouldn’t be chasing, arresting, or shooting crowd control munitions at journalists or anyone else for one simple act: recording them in public.

It’s a First Amendment right, and often the only tool we have to hold powerful agencies accountable.
Reckless federal agents are the threat, not cameras • NC Newsline
When Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials swept into North Carolina, Governor Josh Stein urged people to pull out their phones and record any inappropriate behavior. It’s good advice.

Somehow this is the worst part.

Yet again I'd like to thank the publishing industry, Hollywood, and Yale Law School for ensuring this bigot's rise to prominence.

There are two people, above all, whom we have to blame for Pete Hegseth running the Pentagon.

One, of course, is Trump.

The other is Murdoch. Without him, Hegseth would be a nobody.

On Monday, the University of Alabama suspended two student-run magazines over fears stemming from a July DOJ memo. The student journalists I spoke with yesterday told me that the decision was nonsensical and threatened their First Amendment rights.

So far, in less than one year, Donald Trump has issued over TEN TIMES as many pardons as he did in his entire four-year first term. That’s a lot of criminals released onto our streets.

I'll be honest. There are a lot of awful things that are happening in the world.

But I can sleep at night knowing that I work at a place that tries to make sure we do our part to make sure those wrongs don't go unnoticed.

All I need to do is look at our homepage and know I'm in the right place.
