Unpublished snipped of a BTS fanfiction. Text reads: He isn't quite sure when it set in. Maybe it was too slow to notice. Maybe his feelings dripped empty with all the urgency of pitch, a slothful letting go. How cruel, that he didn't notice until Taehyung was laughing over morning coffee and Namjoon had to suppress the urge to tell him to stop. Who would do that to a person they loved? There isn't much left in his world without Taehyung. There are the pressures of work, friends and family, certainly, but he certainly feels something missing. There was a person he built his life around, where he lived, where he shopped and drank and thought. There was a person, a living breathing, squealing thing, and now the gap remains. He never knew that nothing could take up so much space. Unpublished snippet of a BTS fanfiction. Text reads: It was a pet peeve of Namjoon's over their relationship, how they'd be spending time together and then Namjoon would reference some obscure fact about architecture or poetry and Taehyung would smile and say "this is why you're better than me." He'd usually follow it up with "I don't deserve you," or something else along those lines and Namjoon would grit his teeth and roll his eyes. Anyone could see Namjoon had won the hand of someone far superior to him. He'd struck gold in this relationship. Why would he ever leave? But Namjoon had left. In a way, it was a relief to see that doing so hadn't cemented Taehyung's belief in his inferiority. In another, it stung to see him moving on so quickly. "Whatever," Namjoon spoke aloud to no one. He shut his phone off and turned over to hide from the blinds, now awash with pink light. He had no right to feel this way. Sleep would fix it, and in the morning he would once again be sure with his decision. If it was right to stay, he would have, but he didn't. He'll find his way out of Seokjin's spare room eventually. And his plants will never die the way Taehyung's do, because they are different, ultimately incompatible people who definitely don't love each other anymore. That is final.
