If you think your handwriting is bad, at least no one's mistaken it for a map of Italy yet.

I absolutely positively had nothing to do with that act of arson over there.

Unpopular opinion: America has *never* not been a fascist nation. Whether or not you felt it depended upon your gender, skin color, sexuality, religion, class, and national origin. To pretend otherwise is ahistorical.

Can America still do better? Better to ask: who benefits if not?

Washington: a centralizing nationalist, not a civil-liberties maximalist, who was willing to deploy armed force against civilians (Whiskey Rebellion, 1794) to enforce federal law. And personally invested in property order—including enslaved human property—and deeply hostile to popular disorder.

Louis-Alexandre Berthier was a wizard. This is the only historically correct answer. Fight me.

THOMAS-ALEXANDRE DUMAS WAS THE GREATEST OF ALL TIME.

I will not hear any arguments otherwise.

Readers Don’t Understand Metaphors Anymore … OR, Maybe You Just SUCK at Your Job
The Social Contract Between Author and Reader and the Sin of Literary Essentialism #writing #books #literacy Yes, yes it can always get more fucked up I've said it before -- I don't like commenting on other authors' writing styles. Until they use their own writing style to try to advance a persuasive argument and fail on every level. And they do it with 110% confidence.

Maybe it's an autistic thing, but I don't notice themes, morals, or characterization first. Instead, I notice sentence structure. Does the sentence feel spiky, interesting, asymmetrical, the word choices deliberate? If it's not, my eyes just slide right off, my brain reads the sentence as "boring."

I am now off work for the next three days. Doctor’s orders.

Yes, I work nights and weekends. It’s the only rational schedule.

I also write between 0130 and 0400 while noshing on valerian root, Zzzquil, melatonin, and ashwaganda.

I do not recommend that writing routine.

Drinking some pedialyte helped. So go drink some water, or something electrolyte rich. Your heart will thank you.

This is your reminder to go drink some water.
My heart rate was over 120+ while I was sitting down, because I was dehydrated and suffering from a respiratory infection. I was dizzy, no chest pains, but my watch was screaming at me every 10 minutes about my BPM.
