This straw man was literally a plot line on the Pitt

Vance: "If you're an American citizen & you've been to the hospital in the last few years, you've probably noticed wait times are especially large & very often somebody who's there in the ER is an illegal alien. Why do those people get healthcare benefits at hospitals paid for by American citizens?"

WE WON: "This case -– perhaps the most important ever to fall w/in..this district court squarely presents the issue whether non-citizens lawfully present here in US..have the same free speech rights as the rest of us. The Court answers this Constitutional question unequivocally “yes, they do.”"

Very proud of my colleagues right now--especially @ramyakrishnan.bsky.social and @alexabdo.bsky.social. But we could not have got this far without the superb trial lawyers at Sher Tremonte. Grateful to them for all of the time and energy they put into this case. www.nytimes.com/2025/09/30/u...

“I can’t see another reason,” Adelita Grijalva tells Rolling Stone.

“It doesn’t change the majority, Democrats are still in the minority. That seems to be the only outstanding issue that I can see."

John Roberts was part of the 3-judge panel presiding over Hamdan v. Rumsfeld while actively interviewing for a seat on the Supreme Court. He didn't recuse himself, didn't inform Hamdan's lawyers, and ruled in the Bush admin's favor the day before he interviewed with Bush himself.

A new book lays out how John Roberts was pitching himself to George W. Bush for a Supreme Court seat at the same time he was presiding over a controversial case involving Bush's administration.

In a genuine WOW moment, this administration publicly acknowledges (perhaps for the first time) that an ICE officer violated procedure and will be taken off duty and subject to an investigation. This is a step in the right direction — I just wish it wasn't only because of such an awful viral video.
Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin:
"The officer's conduct in this video is unacceptable and beneath the men and women of ICE. Our ICE law enforcement are held to the highest professional standards and this officer is being relieved of current duties as we conduct a full investigation."

1/Our client was notified tonight by White House staff in the personnel office that she was fired. As a presidential appointee, senate confirmed officer, only the president himself can fire her.

British doctor comes back from Gaza and confirms two things we knew: 1- the Israelis *specifically* confiscate formula feed to starve children 2- there is a clear pattern in gun shot wounds pointing to the fact that IDF soldiers are playing games hunting humans.

10 million people kicked off health insurance! 14 million additional deaths, including 4.5 million children under 5, in the next five years! Value of US dollar falling by record levels! 500 tons or emergency food incinerated out of spite! HE’S CRUSHING IT!

Quite the intro to today's Axios
President Trump, in terms of raw accomplishments, crushed his first six months in historic ways. Massive tax cuts. Record-low border crossings. Surging tariff revenue. Stunning air strikes in Iran. Modest inflation.

Yet poll after poll suggests most Americans aren't impressed. In fact, they seem tired of all the winning, Jim VandeHei and Mike Allen write in a "Behind the Curtain" column.
Why it matters: Trump appears to be losing by winning. The more he does [link.axios.com] (including issues beyond his legislative wins), the more the general public, especially independents, shrug — or recoil.
