Almost Home - this month’s riso print to ring in the fall.

Not sure how to describe it, but this time of year always feels like I’m almost “home” so I wanted to come up with something that touches on that feeling a little

Drew a bunny in pencil, just something quick and cute c:

A black and white rabbit drawing. It is leaping through white space with two leaves bordering it decoratively. The rabbit has ticked fur and closed eyes and appears content. The page itself has small printed black dots in a grid.

They're not exactly your traditional herd-mates, but they all seem to love a good frolic in the meadow.

The BLM is seeking to eradicate the Public Lands Rule, which allows the conservation to be included in land use planning. There are a lot of areas of critical environmental concern in BLM land. It's in the federal register and the public commenting period has started. Please comment!

It’s called Those Who Went Missing! It’s in the link in the original post :D they have a discord that’s active and it’s been awesome for artistic growth for me.

Drawing some more nature spirits called Esk in colored pencil. Esk belong an art game, you get points for your creatures by drawing! They have a deviantart right now, but are in the process of moving to a new site so that nobody has to use dA: www.deviantart.com/thosewhowent... :-p
A nature spirit drawn only in red and blue colored pencil. It has a blue body with white feet and mane, with a red face. It has a large pine tree sprouting from its shoulders Another nature spirit drawn in blue and red pencil. It has a wet shaggy mane covering its eyes, and two horns made out of wood. It has big paws and a tail that drags on the ground, and subtle stripes.

Ooh, ok! These are great photos. I'm tempted to say Bombus vandykei, because the cheek seems shorter than my other closest guess B. flavifrons. Either way, they're both small, scruffy little bumbles

Do you have more photos of the bumble in the first photo? the best angle for field ID is usually top down with the segments showing c:

I feel like I see a lot of mustelids these days :0c Badgers and stoats and the like. I think?? A lot of them have that kinda ~Patagonia brand of outdoorsy wear to them. I also see a lot with just like.. forested landscapes drawn onto them in place of markings. If that makes sense

Job market’s prettttttyyyy crazy. Last year I was a field biologist and this year I’m like “hope that part time janitorial position calls back!!” 🙃

I've been drawing nature ghosts lately (for an #art game called Those Who Went Missing)
A digital reference sheet for a nature spirit. It has long flowing fur in a light tan color, though on its side along wing-like fur protrusions, are squiggle like markings. It has two sponges growing on its small head that resemble horns. It's "nature feature" sprouting from its back is a large chunk of quartz. It has three glowing lemon sharks swimming around it A pink psychedelic horse-like nature spirit, with lavender stripes and spots on its midsection. Around its neck are winged maple seeds, two of them forming horn-like protrusions. in the upper corner are three young baby bullfinches. They're the spirit's familiars This nature spirit fades from a dark brown head into a white rump, with scale-like markings making the transition. It has ferns clustered around its head that resemble hair, though under special circumstances, the ferns overtake the creature's whole body. It has a single horn on its forehead to which a flag is tied This spirit is mostly sleek black fur, though around its head are organic white patterns. Its front legs are made out of dead branches, which form into hoof-like shapes at the bottom. It has a deer-like look to it.

Thank you! I've never sold prints before, but the response to these tarot designs has been pretty nice, it's definitely something I want to look into c:

Food in bill, the young herring gull is ready to take on the world! Don't worry about those clouds, it's fine. #tarot #gull #birds
A young herring gull flies off of a cliff with a black crab in its bill. Behind it, tall clouds loom over a now-calm ocean. Seaside goldenrod waves in the foreground. The colors are greens and oranges and have a nostalgic feel to them.

I forgot I can use bsky for posting and not just looking at stuff again. Here's a #D&D map I drew for a campaign. Mapping is relaxing...
A hand drawn map of a fantasy campus, in a watercolor style. The buildings have red tile roofs, and they sit perched on white chalk cliffs with dark foliage on top. It's vaguely mediterranean in appearance.

Tiny, colorful baby scallops — a total cuteness overload in one dish!

You might think, “This person posts the same creature every year!” But honestly, seeing the same life return year after year is something truly wonderful𓂃🫧‪

Oh wow! That’s good to hear that it’s opening. I was up there two years ago doing dragonfly surveys for the FS, it’ll be interesting to see how it’s changed since

ANYWAYS, some character art for a #D&D NPC I got attached to.
The character is standing straight with their hands placed on the bottom of a warhammer, using it as a prop. The drawing is black and white. The character is middle-aged, short, and has a tuft of black wavy hair poking out from under a patterned hood. They have iron armor boots, large leather gloves, and a patterned tunic. There are several spider-web motifs on the hood and the tunic that allude to their commitment to Lolth.
