Overheden worden steeds rechtser en de privacy staat weer steeds meer onder druk. Ook wil de EU de AVG afzwakken. En nu dus een iets lichtere versie van ChatControl door de EC aangenomen.
ChatControl-wet opent deuren voor misbruik door overheden.

Ook de Volkskrant framet de voorgestelde chatcontrol (systematisch afluisteren van chatberichten) als 'het opsporen van kinderporno'. Overigens is dat laatste een heel fout woord, het heet CSAM. Child Sexual Abuse Material.
