It’s great that NES emulators and Mister cores have achieved such incredible accuracy in passing 128/128 tests, including many edge case scenarios. However, the authentic NES experience is multiple failures on boot, so unless your core/emulator makes me hate the hardware, what’s the point, really?

The 240p to 480i transition on my Morph 4K was such a bother to me that I just disconnected it. I used that scaler for all the 8-bit and 16-bit stuff no problem on Mister. It was great; even Saturn was, but once I started PS1, I had to just disconnect it. Too many resolution switches in those games.

I finished The Misadventures of Tron Bonne last night, and I have to say that the voice acting is perfect. They absolutely nailed it. The casting was spot on, and the performances were EXACTLY what they needed to be.

I played through Shinobi Legions/X about a month ago and it felt perfect. I never would’ve imagined there were any issues. Good on them!

I played Mega Man Legends a few months ago, and now it’s Tron Bonne. I’ve had some genuine LOL moments. Definitely an unexpectedly unique game. Seems a little obtuse with some stuff, but hopefully it won’t matter.

Also, you’re welcome! I’m sure Capcom will rerelease them now that I’m playing!

Does anyone have the Switch physical of Berserk Boy? While streaming the European physical on Twitch this week, it crashed on a 2017 Switch four times, and every time it boots, up is remapped to Y. Curious if these issues are in the digital or other physical versions. @berserkboygames.bsky.social

Weird thing here. I went back to my other Mister setup with the flat panel and wireless controller to prove to myself that my victory was not a fluke & hopefully prove that it wasn’t just the advantage of a CRT & wired controller. Well, I won, but there’s a different hue for the end screen. Curious.

At this point, I’d say the best course of action for Microsoft is to launch their entire C-suite into the sun. Don’t get me wrong; I’m not just talking about the Xbox division. I mean the entirety of MS, across all divisions.
