You come to me, on the day of my daughter's wedding...

Three-day headache is now so routine I could almost ignore it except, when I actually notice it, it's agony

Looking forward to being well again because I really am hating being so sick

I was shocked. I went with a group of American friends who are public transport nerds and they were all really excited to go and I totally didn't understand until I had the most blissful afternoon to myself cycling to our Airbnb

I went to Montreal last summer and cycling there was, in my view (not the most seasoned cyclist) it was the best place I've ever cycled. Just beautiful heading north on the cycle paths along the grass verges.

Quite enjoying Nine Bodies in a Mexican Morgue, and looking forward to Celebrity Traitors later. Perhaps the only bright spot of not being able to do anything or leave the house 🤷🏻‍♀️😭

I didn't catch it for ages either. Think this is my second time maybe 🤔

Thanks to London’s bold action, almost 10 million people are now breathing cleaner air.

That means fewer children will grow up with stunted lungs and fewer people will have to suffer from asthma, dementia and heart disease.

I got glandular fever when I was younger and I was sick for about 3 years after and I thought I had CFS as well so I totally understand. I was petrified of getting COVID for the same reason, I thought maybe somehow I'd be more likely to get really sick from it, but thankfully no

I can't hear, I can't smell, I have a raging headache, my teeth hurt, and I'm starving hungry because I can't keep anything in

Is this COVID? I don't think it's flu and it feels worse than a cold

You're not that much older than me tho?

Yeah that's my thinking. Leave it and it'll recover. Still worrying generally.

Seriously considering taking my 401(k) out but then a part of me thinks it'll be just 2-3 years of pain... eek

The big tech companies are very entangled with AI companies. If that sector collapses, so many other things would be impacted. Plus they make up a huge % of the global market now, so anyone with pensions will be exposed in some way. That's my understanding anyway.
thatsoph.bsky.social
Ok so all this being true, what can I - someone who is exposed to the US market in multiple ways - actually do? I wish this sort of thing came with advice for what people should do in different circumstances...ie if you're close to withdrawing pensions etc

Bloomberg research found wholesale electricity up ~270% in areas near data centers

It doesn't seem like nearly enough people are taking it seriously

One A.I. image isn't too much energy, but 5 million videos? Per day/hour/minute whatever. It's not sustainable

AI Data Centers Are Sending Power Bills Soaring
Wholesale electricity costs as much as 267% more than it did five years ago in areas near data centers. That’s being passed on to customers.
