Mitchells vs the Machines is one of the funniest movies I've ever seen. I can't wait for a sequel!
A sequel to ‘MITCHELLS VS THE MACHINES’ is in the works.

Coming soon to Netflix.
I was exhausted from laughing so hard at this movie (and this scene in particular) that I legit had to take a nap after I watched it
Good thing I have two hands 👐
I'm sure Jay Jurden is making it his mission to reveal that's not exactly the truth
Anyway, this shit is why my social media presence is minimal and mostly restricted to memes, fandom, and personal stuff. Where do I even fit in politically these days? The definitions and connotations of left and liberal change all the time. It's easier to just get informed but not engage online.
A regrettable tattoo...that celebrates one of the biggest and most destructive genocides of the modern age. Lefties continue to fail the no-antisemitism challenge.
Someone tell me why everyone's falling on their swords for the Blackwater Redditor with the SS tattoo in a primary with a bunch of other candidates that's months away

Nazi tat affair useful because anyone doing bizarre prevarications atm re how its totally normal to have a Nazi tattoo, good actually, not a big deal that'd matter in an election, if anything its cringe you care, etc etc, has revealed you never need to take their politics opinions seriously again.
"Why don't more Jews join us, the enlightened Left, in fighting against the Palestinian genocide?" Maybe because you say things like this that show how much you hate us no matter what we do so we have to work for peace and justice on our own.

The whole point of Trump is to defile the presidency. In racist logic, if a Black man can be president, then the presidency itself has to be reduced to filth.

So they found the worst White man they could and let him shit all over the place (and Congress, literally, in the Jan 6 phase of the coup).
But consider: add their delicious $2.50 chocolate chip cookie to your meal.

the symbolism of “Trump destroying the White House for a overpriced luxury vanity project, during a government shut down, days after a historically-large mass demonstration against his regime called “No Kings”’ would be rightly viewed as laying it on a little thick if it was in a work of fiction
I like to bring up how my premiums increase every year but the service either stays the same or gets worse. Last year, premiums went up $40/months and out-of-pocket max tripled. Not even my taxes increase that much every year!
My doctor referred me to a couple specialists. One can't see me until December and the other not until January. I thought the US healthcare system was supposed to guarantee instant access to doctors, not months-long waits like those barbaric universal healthcare countries!
I really like this dynamic NGL. It's different from the bliss of Teddy and Billy or Bobby's lukewarm romances. We need variety!

People will get mad at you for this too bc the idea that anyone should make the choice to give up superfluous and unnecessary shit, even temporarily, for the betterment of those around them is genuinely offensive to people in 2025
It sucks enough to see my field crashing down around me because people are insistent that AI is the future of medical writing, but now the regulated protections for human research participants are being dismantled, too? Wild to see the US go from first to last in biomedical research in just 1 year.
Dismantling the Institutional Review Board (IRB), that oversees all human subjects research, is bad. Really bad.
The entire HR department at the CDC is gone. Everyone at the IRB, which makes sure studies are conducted ethically and rigorously, and the ethics office, which oversee conflicts of interest for CDC leaders and advisory committee members, were also let go.
www.theguardian.com/us-news/2025...
I'd say there's a whole part of the federal regulations for HHS-funded human research that establishes safeguards for prisoners who participate in research, but lbr they're not going to follow those regs if no one stops them.
If the CDC doesn't have their own IRB, then researchers will instead have to use a commercial IRB like Advarra or WCG, which costs far more than what the CDC pays to operate their own IRB, and those IRBs are unfamiliar with particular institutional requirements, which further slows CDC research.

I would laugh if this wasn't so true 😭
About 100 people showed up in walking distance to our home for a suburban rally. Lots of support from drivers down the main street except for one guy (guess his demographic) who shouted out his window that he doesn't have money to pay for "illegals." But one loser in a sea of winners is OK with me.
No Kings in our neighborhood! Good to feel less alone #NoKings
