The Spirit of '92 incarnate. Hippie ideals, punk attitude, and a grunge wardrobe.

REMINDER: I don’t fucking work for you.

I have gone from anarchopacifism to channeling John Brown and Marat.
I’m a materialist atheist and have been for almost 40 years, and the mainlining of the concept of empathy being a sin activated the RAGE of my Old Time Religion in a way even I didn’t expect. Such a heretical godless view of Christ wasn’t even in the faith I left when I left it, and I WAS BAPTIST.
I feel like so much of what we're seeing is the endgame of stuff like referring to those with differing opinions as NPCs and declaring that empathy is a sin.

The overarching message is that those you don't like don't actually count as people. And even if they did, caring about them would be wrong.

It was too cold upstairs, so I retreated to the bedroom with my tablet, PSP, and a USB stick full of retrotrash.

Watching 2005 episodes of The Soup, with lots of clips of Donnie that show how much his brain has eroded since then.

starting to see "Too Big To Fail" used re: OpenAI and that strikes me as just another hedge being floated by the firm

Too big to fail means that a firm's collapse would do blow a hole in something society or the economy actually needs to function.

it's grimly amusing that he ran again to show he was "better" than Biden, only to repeat Biden's biggest mistake -- the inability to grasp *who* voted for him and *why* -- in a more dangerously inept manner.

Unlike the VH-1 series inspired by it, the BBC's version of I Love the 1980s had year-appropriate guest narrators.

Here's the 1980 to 1983 roster:

remember the initial excuse for this was that an creepy-coded mom and son wannabe influencer team fabricated some bullshit about child care centers using info in part slipped to them by the MN GOP

The laws they claim don't apply to them are the same laws that say they can't be marched waist deep into a hog lagoon and kneecapped when the worm turns.

Had a "best PC games of 2025" list pop up in my YT mentions, decided to check it out for anything I might've overlooked, and was treated to a Family Dollar John Fugelsang pissing and moaning about pandering too much to "the casuals" and we need to get back to NES era difficulty curves

Latest find: The two March 1983 episodes of HBO's Video Jukebox.

Perfect background material for reading Paul Smith's X-Men run and the first few issues of New Mutants.

Maybe play a little Mr. Do and Xevious afterwards.

After Future Cop's five episode run failed to gain any traction, it jumped to another network with a new pilot and a new name, "Cops and Robin"

The Robin in question?

A cute kid, because 70s TV!
