There's literally no middle ground. There needs to be a middle ground where people can tall about these things, but with how polarizing it is I don't think there'll ever be one.

Like. I do not support government censorship and I do not think people should be labeled a certain way just because of what they write. But I also really hate that if someone points out how problematic and atrocious the ideas/intent behind certain works are then they're labeled Puritans.

I have.....so much to say on this topic that's incredibly nuanced and complex because I understand EVERY view point on this topic and I deeply understand why fiction is a great medium for the exploration of dark topics but I feel like these same people would tell me minstrel media does no harm
